News Release

We focused on one company for the semester and completed our assignments based off of the premise as working as a PR professional for this company. I chose ESPN; therefore, all of my following assignments are centered around ESPN. Attached is my sample news release.

Audience Persona

I created two different audience personas to represent the key audiences ESPN aims to reach. Based on research and data, I evaluated the demographics, identifiers and media and distribution modes that best reflect ESPN's audience and then did a formal write-up of these made-up individuals. These two serve as a microcosm for the greater demographic of the company.

PESO Model Application

I have learned the immense value of the PESO model within the PR sector. To apply these principles, I did an analysis of the paid, earned, owned and shared media that ESPN utilize to reach its audience.

Email Media Pitch

I made a media email pitch to Richard Green, Director of Content at the Hartford Courant. I invited him to my hypothetical ESPN anniversary event, as his paper is the most highly-circulated in Connecticut area, where ESPN is headquartered.

eNewsletter

I created a fundraising event for ESPN, based off of past CSA actions the organization has taken. This document is my eNewsletter, informing stakeholders and companies interested in the opportunity of joining us in our fundraiser.  Also included is the link to my eNewsletter, created on MailChimp.
